(Gas discharge, HID, metal halide lamps)
This bulb has no filament but generates an Arc across a gas between two metal rods. This requires a special ballast, which does make the lighting system more complex, but you do get a high-energy yield of about 50-70 lumens / watt and a light similar to daylight of about 5000-6000 Kelvin. through their nearly neutral color light properties The lamps are ideal for Filmmakers and photographers.
These lamps are however expensive to replace and require careful use. Kowalski only have a limited stock of these Xenon torches.
All Xenon lamps have a 2-fold optical low-level warning of the low state of charge of Battery Display: The status Display in the bottom of the lamp changes from Green to red. The integrated charger detects and verifies the Charge state and thus ensures an optimum charge in the shortest time.
